There's no real visual distinction between the two worlds, with the only change being a slight variation in
the overworld music.
Speaking of which, the ending theme to Super Mario World seems heavily inspired by the SMB2
overworld music.
There are just so many great songs in this game — from
overworld music, to character themes and much more — but more than anything, the battle themes are just something else!

GR: Decades later, the Zelda
overworld theme and the Mario theme are still two of the most iconic pieces of videogame
music of all time.
Unlike Dragon Quest 4, the
music doesn't restart every time you go in and out of battle, allowing you to hear the full
overworld and dungeon tracks without deliberating hanging around listening to them.
Why don't they make dynamic environment
music like how in Donkey Kong 64 there is an
overworld theme which the instruments change depending if you go in a cave / underwater.
Add in great level design,
music, a whopping 120 stars to collect and a hub
overworld that's still emulated today, and you've got an all - time classic.
The 3d
overworld theme sucks and is constantly interrupted by the battle

music in this game was composed by famed composer Koji Kondo with the exception of the
overworld theme, which was partly based off of his original

overworld map and it has to evoke this different areas and it's going to be the only thing people are hearing when they're not engaging with a story.
