(I've came across this issue twice, when I had to read two e-books for Upwork from my client last month and had to give them a low - rated review with only
edit advice.)
It is one of the most important pieces of
editing advice you'll receive, so I repeat it not to drone on about trimming, but to emphasize just how important this exercise is for your book.
What's particularly unusual about it is that, while you're writing online, readers you invite or who just happen by can view your manuscript - in - progress and offer
editing advice and suggestions.

One didn't do any editing and had rushed to send it to print (gave him a one star, though he didn't want it, so I gave
him an editing advice instead, though he was a beta for another writer, who was better than him but fair.)
