Yogurt: Combine
the Labneh with the rice wine vinegar, dried mint, garlic, cayenne and a pinch of salt.
Labneh, or yogurt cheese, is a Middle Eastern strained plain yogurt.
I reserved some of
the labneh and put it in a small bowl and topped it with fresh herbs and olive oil.
Drain the coconut or normal yogurt in a sieve lined with a teatowel for a few hours, to make
Labneh.
Then, toss with caper -
labneh mayo and layer in toasted focaccia rolls for a sprightly spring sandwich.
Depending on how much water is in your Laban and how thick you want
your Labneh the bag needs to drain for 4 hours to overnight (if you're in a rush and you need the labneh faster you can press squeeze the bag and press down often to help remove the excess whey).

Fresh fruit would be a great accompaniment; as the beauty of labne (or
labneh as it is also written) is that is can be enjoyed in both sweet and savoury dishes.
Bright and tangy
labneh is often seasoned with herbs and spices.
I decided to keep things simple and sweet spreading the Greek yogurt
labneh on whole wheat toast and topping it with bananas, cinnamon - spiked tahini, honey, almonds and chia seeds.
Fold in large dollops of sesame
labneh and top with pistachio, fresh herbs, capers and lemon slices.
I had no idea you could make vegan
labneh balls!
Start by making
the labneh.
Top with the roasted rhubarb, croutons, and
labneh, then finish with the lemon dressing.
Place the finished
labneh into a bowl, and mix it with a spoon to make it evenly creamy and smooth.
It is easier if you have cheesecloth, but for
the labneh pictured I used a thin tea towel and it worked just as well, with a little extra squeezing.

the labneh: 1 cup of 2 % pain greek yogurt 1 tablespoon of honey 1/2 teaspoon of maldon sea salt or kosher salt for the crust: 1 cup of all - purpose white flour (plus a couple of tablespoons to roll out the dough) 1/2 cup of buckwheat flour 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt 1/2 cup (typically one stick) of very cold sliced butter 1/2 cup of water with ice for the apple filling: 3 apples, cored, halved, and thinly sliced 2 tablespoons of coconut palm sugar (or regular white sugar) a pinch of sea salt 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 tablespoon of pistachios, roughly chopped 5 - 6 sage leaves, roughly chopped
For a vegetarian version, replace chicken with baked zatar tofu, or top with
labneh or greek yogurt.
I live in West Africa and there are a lot Lebanese here and they eat
labneh / Greek yogurt for breakfast (with olive oil and pita / Lebanese bread).
Place the remaining
labneh in a bowl; season with salt and pepper.
Serve with the seasoned
labneh on the side.
While the khorasan wheat continues to cook, to the bowl of chicken strips, add 1/4 of
the labneh and as much of the harissa paste as you'd like, depending on how spicy you'd like the dish to be; season with salt and pepper.
You might be able to find «
labneh» it's the same thing.
When it is whipped to soft peak stage add
the labneh and whip it in until fully combined.
Remove from the heat, leave for a couple of minutes to settle, then spoon into individual plates and serve with
the labneh or yogurt.
Once your yogurt is finished you can move on to making
the labneh cheese.
