Once again, I had signed up too late in the ballgame, and I ended up dishing out a few dollars of my
own to buy a
Vitamin Water.
On the field, and at events, players may not be seen guzzling, say, Red Bull, or Powerade, or
Vitamin Water (which is
owned by Coca - Cola).

own laboratory study showed that rats given
vitamins,
water and all the Puffed Wheat they wanted died in two weeks.
In fact we belong to a very tiny group of mammals (including fruit bats and guinea pigs) that don't make their
own Vitamin C. Because
Vitamin C performs so many functions and we use so much of it in the course of a day almost everyone can benefit from supplementing with extra
Vitamin C. Up to 1,000 to 2000 mgs a day is fine; it's
water soluble and what you don't use will just be excreted.
Because guinea pigs can't produce their
own Vitamin C, you should add a
Vitamin C supplement to their
water as well - a teaspoon of
Vitamin C liquid to 12 ounces of
water.
