I have a hard time imagining there's much
of an overlap
of people who
own both the Switch and Wii U, see the Switch
game is full - price, then would decide to buy it digitally rather than go to their local shop or ebay to buy a
physical copy for under $ 20 on Wii U, if price were the determining factor.
I can't stream that functionality because while I do
own a Japanese new 3DS, it can not stream, so I bought the
physical copy of the
game hoping I could switch the cart between the two systems and have my cake and stream it too.
This means that Switch owners can, unfortunately, continue to count on needing to download parts
of games that they
own physical copies of (such as LA Noire) for a while.
In the age
of digital distribution, where most
games are available on PSN day 1, why would anyone even bother with
physical copies when there are so many disadvantages
of owning it like space concerns and having to switch discs each time when you want to play something new.
Just to clarify about Bloodborne before everyone jumps on board to tell me how the
game and the bundle have been on sale repeatedly, yes I am aware
of that, however I

physical copy and am waiting to buy the expansion on sale.

physical copy is muddied — a fact that Sony mercilessly parodied with its «How to share a PS4

However, the fans out there wanting to
own a
physical copy of the car - soccer
game will be able to buy one at retail later this year.

copy of Freedom Wars in my library despite the fact that I already

Those are actually illegal to have, unless you happen to
own physical copies of all the old
