When it comes to The Desolation of Smaug however, a film that audiences seem to agree is better
paced than the first film, I'm slightly disappointed.

first one and shows off the glorious cinematography, costume and production design.

first film and the
pacing left me more
than a little bit sleepy; I also felt legitimately bad for Rose Byrne, who is basically given nothing to do aside from trip over baby toys and get smacked in the head a lot.

It's a good
first Ozu
film to watch, it's a little faster
paced than his better
films, plus it's chock - full of fart jokes, which are always nice.
