There is an LCD flash thing going on every time I change
the page on my eReader.
Not exact matches
So far in 2013, Kobo's customers, either
on smartphone, laptop, tablet, desktop computer, or
eReading devices, have turned more than 1.3 - billion
pages, logging more than 10 - million hours of reading time in the process.
And the ability to reach farther into the midsection of the
page lessened the disadvantage of working with such a deeply inset screen (Amazon says that the inset was necessary for its touch technology — but it's noticeably thicker, by millimeters, than the inset
on the competing Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch and Kobo
eReader Touch Edition).
We don't see words
on a
page, like you do; instead, we see long lines of code that correspond with how your book will look
on an
ereader.
This will cause the diagrams to appear
on their own separate
page, but some
eReaders will try to load all of the images at once if they aren't separated like that.
You can turn
pages as fast as you wish
on a Kindle (actually one of the complaints about the device has been that screen refresh is a little slow, but let's ignore that quibble) without ever worrying about this
eReader bursting into flames.
I also had the sense that the
eReader Touch Edition's
page turns are neither as fast or as flicker - free as
on the Nook, but they are still far better than
on the previous Kobo — and they even beat out the Amazon Kindle (third generation).
I know this will probably never happen, but I'd love a feature
on the Kindle
ereaders to allow the user to enter to number of printed
pages in an ebook.
Won't a small
ereader, like a six - inch, likely have a smaller battery than its larger cousins, and won't the smaller screen - size and use of larger fonts increase the number of necessary
page - turns and therefore drain the battery quicker than
on a larger device?
They have a wishlist
on their desktop app for Mac, but that wishlist doesn't exist
on any other platform I know of (iOS, their main website, and their online
eReader - site), and you can only add books to it from the main screen of the desktop app for some reason, but not when you look at the
page of a specific book.
The font has to fit properly
on a Kindle or other
ereader, the spine and cover size
on a paperback has to look correct, and there are potential issues with paper sizes and
page orientation.
You may choose to use a QR code for your eBook
page — people tend to use their
eReaders more
on vacation!
At this point B&N might as well just give up
on Nook
ereaders entirely if they can't even bother to advertise or promote them
on the main Nook landing
page.
Purchases are done through the web
page of the shop (either
on the Mac or the iPad), and the files are immediately downloaded to the
ereader of choice (in case of Amazon, the book is downloaded both to the Mac Kindle and the iPad Kindle application).
I think you might want to take a look at the comments
on your now defunct Indiegogo
page and think about setting up a forum for those who purchased one of your Good
eReader devices.
The one thing Pocketbook has always done right is include manual
page turn buttons
on their
ereaders and the InkPad 3 is no exception, you can easily hold it with one hand thanks to it only weighing 207 grams.
Misc
eReading Features: Other features include running searches within a book,
on Wikipedia, and Google, adding bookmarks by tapping the upper - right corner of a
page, adjusting contrast, and fast scanning through a book by holding down the
page buttons.

While the Kindle was faster at
page turns and has wider document support, the Nook's intuitive user interface, more ergonomic design, and EPUB support make it the best E Ink
eReader on the market right now.
That being said, the inkBook still suffers from the same kind of issues that all Android
ereaders suffer from: most 3rd party apps don't work well because they aren't designed for E Ink screens; battery life isn't as good as non-Android
ereaders; the
page buttons only work with a few apps; and the Android software is less - optimized than what you get
on Kindles and Kobos, and it lacks some features that they offer.
Depending
on which
page you read (blog or their website) the screens will be in
ereaders and netbooks by Fall 2009, or End 2009.
Since
ereaders spend most of their time idle
on a
page, two weeks might have been able to have been stretched 3 + weeks?
The Nook Tablet offers the best interactive
eReading experience
on the market, with a selection of more than 2.5 million books and amazing features such as Read and Record, which lets parents record themselves reading each

eReading is very possible
on the iPhone 4S, but with the One X is was MUCH easier with a lot less
page turning.

As with all eInk technology there is still that kind of photo negative look when turning
pages (but this only happens when it refreshes every 6
pages), it is less noticeable
on this device as the
page turns are faster than
on other
eReaders including the new Kindles.
