Last Monday, Kindle announced that authors who participate in Amazon's Kindle Direct Select program will now be paid by the number of
pages their readers consume, rather than the percentage of the book they read.
Now, authors will be rewarded for each and
every page their readers consume, whether or not they finish the book.

Page Ideas, compared the abundance of the publishing industry with Douglas Adams» Shoe Event Horizon.

Reader is interesting - it uses no power to hold its image so only changing
pages consumes any juice; it is apparently very clear and easy to read, and you can adjust the font size to suit your aging eyes.
