paint, but I had success with

coat in one color, then using the wax puck in spots, and then
painting over the piece with a second color of milk

I started with a
coat of Minwax Dark Walnut, then
painted over the stain with Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Old White.
I parked myself in front of the TV, plugged in a Friends marathon and got to work refastening the seat cushions & rubbing in a
coat of Annie Sloan's Clear Furniture Wax
over the chalk
paint to protect everything.

Jan, I have tried many products to use
over chalk
paint, several waxes then I switched to polycrylic top
coats and have tried several, the best I've ever used is Polyvine Decorator's Varnish Dead Flat Finish — it DOES NOT yellow, I just used
over two big pieces of furniture
painted in Pure White and Off White and absolutely no yellowing.
My suggestion is to Zinsser BIN oil base prime
over the oil
paint, one
coat, then
paint with Fusion.
If you haven't waxed yet you can just prime right
over the
paint then
paint another
coat.

The wax

over time with use, but because the poly is under it, the wear won't effect the

The key to using General Finishes clear

I had to go
over it a few times because the black
paint needed multiple
coats since it's a dark color on a bright white.
I started off
