Over the next year, we would put in new lighter colored flooring,
painted the walls white, ripped out a dark stone fireplace, renovated the dark
kitchen, and added in three solar lights in the main living areas to brighten the space.

After living in our home for
over 5 years and dealing with my
kitchen that is basically a cave because it's so dark I think we're finally going to take the plunge and make some changes, number 1 would be
painting our cabinets.
Good news is my painters will return Tuesday to
paint the cabinet in the
kitchen and finish filling (caulking) and
painting the rest of the wainscoting through the entry
over the next week (we didn't have enough time to
paint all that wainscoting before the holidays!).
Salvage existing

kitchen and FR complete overhaul, I can see her doing 2 different seating areas in the FR and gut the

The great tragedy was that everything they did in the new
kitchen (cabinets, countertop, backsplash, tile floors
over the entire area and wall
paint had yellow undertones and this massive, almost complete wall of stone had screaming pink undertones.
Even though I hated the previous owner's stenciling in the

kitchen, a bank of sturdy shelves has been installed directly
over the window trim and
painted the same crisp white as the trim and surrounding cabinetry.
The cabinet doors all came off and got placed all
over the
kitchen floor, sort of like real life Tetris, and then I proceeded to
paint them all.
