Make sure you
use paintable caulk, because you'll need to paint a second coat on top of the caulk.
Most small cracks and gaps can be sealed
with paintable caulk, although chimneys and furnace flues require a specific type.
Use
a paintable caulk sealant on the inside and a good silicone on the outside that's weather - tight.

Just make sure you use a non-cracking,
paintable caulk on everything and you'll be good to go!
Before painting the wood plank wall, be sure to caulk the corners with
a paintable caulk.
You can fill these holes in with wood filler, painter's putty (below) or
paintable caulk.
We also picked up the trim we would need -LCB- shoe molding or quarter round and 3 bull nose edges for the landings -RCB-, liquid nails, wood putty and
paintable caulk.
Some paintable caulk down the seem in the middle and a pre cut counter top with wood glue to hold it down and TaaDaa!!
The joints at the top and at the trim were cleaned up using
paintable caulk.
