Because we had already installed
bead board on the lower half of the room, it felt less daunting to choose a deep, saturated green for the walls above, and after squinting at countless swatches, we finally landed on a
paint color.

our daughters SO badly want to

For the walls, I purchased inexpensive
bead board panelling, trim moulding and «barely blue»

However, we have already started with
beaded board on a couple of whole walls and will continue it behind open cabinets and as the back splash on those walls to, and I do love it and it can be
painted as desired which is always nice.
The
bead board seems to have a slightly greenish cast to it but we will
paint an additional coat of Porcelain and I believe it will look like the creamy white the
paint normally is.
David created the
painting, and I found the
bead board «frame» at a local flea market.
Accentuate it with: A big ol' sheet of
bead board panelling, or some planks of white (or light blue)
painted wood.
The
bead board on the walls was a project we had tackled last year but the new
paint color (Dutch Boy Colonial Cobblestone) just really makes it pop!
