Begin by painting the sides and top of the chest of drawers with a furniture paint that has a chalky finish.

This is all I used: Valspar Chalky Finish paint in Boot Black Polycrylic by Minwax wood filler and putty knife drawer knobs drill Purdy paint brushes (the smaller one is great for doing the sides!)

I therefore made very small amounts of Snow White that would be for the painted area, and a mixture of Pitch Black, Driftwood, and Snow White for the stained area and for the drawer sides.
