painted white hutch surely needs a freshly painted something else to go with it.

The
hutch is
painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in French Linen (two coats), and the trim is
painted in ASCP Old
White, lightly distressed and clear waxed.
I kept my eye on a light blue
hutch at a local antique mall and when it came into my price range I snatched it up and
painted it

I
painted all the walls in there a beautiful soft colonial blue which is fabulous with all the
white trim, and even my warm brown wood tables,
hutch etc..
I wonder if the
hutch would not look so overpowering if the door and molding were «
painted out» i.e.
painted same color as the wall instead of the
white trim additions...
It's also a laundry room and has a lovely built in blue
hutch with a large
white porcelain sink for potting plants, washing
paint brushes, etc..
I wanted this
hutch to be sweet, simple and versatile so I chose to
paint her up in Annie Sloan's Chalk
Paint in Old
White.
White paint was used to transform this
hutch into a piece fit for fabulous farmhouse living.
I even transformed a few thrift store ceramic pitchers with
white spray
paint so I would have enough to fill the
hutch.
I started
painting things
white a few years ago, even my darling grandmothers walnut
hutch, she would «roll over in her grave» as she used to tell me if she knew.
