There, there were a few memorable
highlights, such as mirror
paintings by Michelangelo Pistoletto from the 1970s and 80s,
shown by the Repetto Gallery; striking portraits and still - lifes by Wayne Thiebaud,
shown by Allan Stone Projects; small
paintings by Gerhard Richter and Alexej von Jawlensky
in the Galerie Ludorff's booth; and Yayoi Kusama's glittering collages, reminiscent of precious stones,
shown by Omer Tiroche Gallery.
Highlights include the video Pasa Tiempo (Pastime), which
shows the artist stitching an airplane on her hand to express the Cuban peoples desire to travel, and a series of three
paintings titled Degradación (Degradation) that is made from fragments of
paint that Ms. Quiñones has peeled from the facades of deteriorating buildings
in old Havana.

show at Shainman calls it your «most political to date,» and

show for me is a large vertical oil on canvas, Summer Glory,
painted in 1944.
A room containing a cluster of these
paintings — six
showing the Palace of Westminster and two of Charing Cross Bridge — is the
highlight of «Impressionists
in London» at Tate Britain.
At The Art
Show,
in a thematic presentation from Van Doren Waxter and Eleven Rivington, works on paper by Diebenkorn — brand new to the market —
highlight the artist's
painted figures and what dealer Dorsey Waxter describes as the «long, translucent strokes» and a «fascinating attention to brushstroke that defines each work.»
With a mixture of updates on his Bacon homages, Edo period influenced works and his hallmark and signature flower works, the
show was
highlighted by a behind - the - scenes look at the notes, early sketches and edits that each
painting goes through
in the process of being created.
