So do you remember the
pallet wood chargers I made
back at Christmas?
I used two smaller
pallets that were definitely not going to be used for anything else, put a generous amount of
wood glue on the
back of them, and then glued them down behind all the
pallets.
However, about 2/3 of those
pallets only get used a single time, and it's estimated that U.S. companies alone throw away some 4 billion board feet of
wood pallets every year, so putting them
back into use as a building material is a great way to repurpose this «waste».
After we found the perfect
pallet (tips about working with
pallet wood from Funky Junk Interiors), we decided to use the
back of the
pallet as the front of the shelf and removed 1 plank using a crow bar and hammer.
I'm
back today to share a rustic
pallet wood sign that was SO easy to make and is sure to add rustic charm to a gallery wall or command center.
