A team of UCF College of Medicine researchers has discovered a link between rheumatoid arthritis and Mycobacterium avium
subspecies paratuberculosis, known as MAP, a bacteria found in about half the cows in the United States.
In 1984, scientists isolated
M. paratuberculosis from the tissue of a patient with Crohn's disease.
Researchers at NIMBioS have identified a more sensitive test for detecting the early stages
of paratuberculosis, a fatal disease that plagues dairy herds and causes an estimated annual loss of up to $ 250 million to the US dairy industry.
Eating meat during breastfeeding is associated with an increased risk of type 1 diabetes, a consequence perhaps of meat glycotoxins or
paratuberculosis bacteria that may be passed though breast milk.
And no studies show that
M. paratuberculosis can be passed on to humans through milk or contact with contaminated manure.
Some of the research will focus on the relationship between Crohn's disease and M.
paratuberculosis.
My observations convinced me that it was an infection and research indicates mycobacterium avium
paratuberculosis (MAP) is the most likely pathogen.
What are your thoughts about Mycobacterium Avium subspecies
Paratuberculosis (MAP)?
These agents include: Yersinia enterocolitica, Mycobacterium avium subspecies
paratuberculosis (MAP), and H. Pylori.
