Most of those dogs are bred simply because the combination of the two
parent breeds names makes a cute new name such a Puggle or Cockapoo (or worse yet, Taco - wiener) to suck in potential buyers who are looking for «cuteness», I am just crossbreeding two distinctly different breeds of dog in the hope that the genetic diversity will make a healthier and sounder dog, and the phenotypes of the two will blend as planned and produce a dog along the lines I am looking for.
