Gifted children are cognitively different which is why
parents of gifted children know gifted programs are essential for their child's education, and having teachers who understand and consider the cognitive differences in gifted children is critical.
Many in the field of education as well as
parents of gifted children know that many gifted programs have set capacities due to funding and support — children who are gifted sometimes don't get into gifted programs when space is limited, and children who are not gifted also may be accepted into gifted programs when there is extra room.

parent fools their
children by lying to them that an old dude with the name
of Santa will come and get you
gifts or anything you wish for... and they put things under the tree and make these poor
children know that these are from Santa... and its being done generation after generation...
parents now were victimized when they were

children and it is now in a loop and no one seems to be wanting to get out

child meets their milestones at different times, and that some babies never crawl, but rather just go straight to walking, but I was convinced that my son's crawling was a clear indication
of his brilliance, and I was certain that I was the
parent of a
gifted child.
One
of our greatest roles as a
parent is to come to
know and love our
child for the unique
gifts they are so that as they grow, they can better come to
know and love themselves.
Speaking
of his choice to buy
gifts with an educational value, James Longhurst, whose son is four years old, commented: «As a
parent I
know how annoying it can be when your
children get lots
of plastic toys for Christmas that rarely get played with and are a nightmare to store around the house.
The rise
of hybrid schooling bodes well for students whose needs,
gifts, interests, and learning styles do not align with the factory school model
of the 20th century, and for
parents who
know that no school can maximize the potential
of every
child every year in every way.
The
Gifted IEP meeting should consist
of three people at a minimum - the
parent, a teacher familiar with the
child, and a person in the district who
knows about and can commit resources.
