The Coalition of Community Charter Schools (C3S) is a group of public charter schools and organizations in New York City that envision a positive and collaborative role for charter schooling
as part of our public education system.
First, afterschool and summer enrichment opportunities are available to all students as a
core part of the public education system — whether through schools or organizations that partner with them — and not optional «extras,» which are particularly vulnerable to political vagaries and budget cuts.

Charter schools are tuition - free public schools that are open to all students who apply and they are very much
