Seventh and finally, the song of redemptive hope, of the resurrection of the
body; of our
bodies that encompass the stuff of the creation of which we are part; of our
bodies that
participate in the
body of Christ that is the
Church, and therefore anticipate, already now, that perfect communion with God for which the whole creation waits with eager longing.
Overall, he has produced an impressive
body of work which, thankfully, demonstrates that liturgical arts (which Schickel prefers to call «ritual arts» because «it stresses the way in which these objects

Body of Christ are helped by remembering that God loves and forgives them as they
participate in the incarnation; the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; the birth of the
church; and the giving of the Holy Spirit.
