A few
games are specified to be on the stage, which is all either first
party or PS4
exclusives.
The problem is there aren't enough 3rd
party games to fill the gap between those
exclusives.
Plus Monster Hunter is a third
party exclusive which really benefits from free online and the
game pad functions / miiverse.
Sure there might have been some 3rd
party games in there, but it was lacking an
exclusive, just one.

You can't decide what people like, or even if the
game is gonna be any good, I think it probably will though, the best thing about other platforms is variety, the Wii U doesn't have that, if Bayonetta 2 doesn't sell, I wouldn't be surprised, as the first Bayonetta wasn't really appealing to most people and did pretty poorly, Nintendo need to bankroll all kinds of different genres, though this is
exclusive, don't expect it to do better than most 3rd
party multiplatform
games.

biggest issue with the Wii U is their ignorance of North America, their poor online experience and slow
game turnover rate generic 3rd
party support is almost dead on Wii U, so its good to see Nintendo going to other companies to make some
exclusive titles for them (hyrule warriors, fatal frame) lets hope this trend continues
They're in a position to make the Switch the go - to console for classic
games,
party games, mobile gaming, streaming services, and of course, fantastic first -
party exclusives.

exclusives, but at this point there is no reason to buy it for third
party games, especially any online
games since no one is online to play with.

games as well as ports of otherwise Dreamcast
exclusives, such as Sonic Adventure 2 and Skies of Arcadia, from Sega; the stylish and refreshingly challenging beat - em - up Viewtiful Joe from Capcom, and the Namco RPG masterpiece Tales of Symphonia (one of my favorites of all time, mind you).
Now look at the gaming world... the only
exclusives you have anymore are by developers owned by the respective console makers... in other words,
games Sony makes are

party companies know they've been seriously losing out on sales by making
games for one console.

party games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag are available on both new consoles, leaving first -
party exclusives as their primary differentiators.
The PS4 is still a great pick for core
gamers, who will benefit when third
parties start adding
exclusive titles down the road.
It's a bummer we can't have the best of both worlds: buy an Xbox and you can play a selection of Xbox 360
games on top of the current - gen third -
party games and no real
exclusive games to speak of, buy Playstation and you get to play some of the best
exclusive games of this generation with almost no BC to speak of.
Not to mention that the XboxOne has a great launch line - up with the PS4 right behind it with a good launch as well (lacking

party games coming for it & the
exclusives are just around the corner for the first Q of 2014).

You missed the point, those two system ARE N'T JUST about the
exclusives, they have MAJOR third
party support & that's key to winning next gen. Third
party games are becoming more & more appealing, not to mention that the Wii spark (which made it the best selling console last gen) has died, no one looks at the WiiU and thinks: «Wow, I like the new touch screen controller» because believe it or not, it makes it hard for you to focus from one screen to the other & that doesn't work well with a console that needs to be hooked to a TV (
games that support switching gameplay from the TV to the controller are great though!).

games, you have to wait for first / second
party studios and other
exclusive games (ala MGS4) to really get the full worth of this console.
