I actually got stuck
reading this
book — as I think I must be a bit of a literary snob
and couldn't get
past how awkward it
read, but I am slowly being inspired to persevere

past 3,000 years, it becomes clear that religious institutions could take a powerful leadership role in environmental repair.

Since I have
read so heavily from
books about non-violence over the
past several years, I noticed many themes
and ideas which this author pulled from other authors, but this author rarely cited these other authors.
Also, one
book my wife
and I
read this
past year which sounded eerily familiar to what we have personally experienced, was the fictional «novel» by Wayne Jacobsen
and Dave Coleman, So You Don't Want to Go to Church Anymore.
Kregel sent me a review copy,
and it is already one of the best
books I have
read in the
past year.
It might funny there are many
books to
read and many
books to study from that a good thing but there one
book that when you study from it you will understand the
past present
and future
and no that there is one in control of the world
and everything in it
and that is God who gave us a way of out
and that though his son Jesus
and gave us the Holy Spirit to lead
and guide you that your conscience the bible tell us everyone born has a conscience of God.
I have been
reading, teaching,
and writing A LOT these
past several years on the violence of God in the Bible,
and this
book also provides the beginning place for understanding these violent, bloody texts in Scripture.
There are the classics of the
past,
and fortunately some of the present, which are great
books for the serious student but which are not apt to be widely understood or
read by the ordinary person seeking light on his daily task.
There appears to be a story to it too; reminds me of mystery movies
