Growing up, we would buy TONS of peaches and make
peach butter at the end of the summer... it's a tradition that I didn't continue as I transitioned to adulthood, but now I'm kind of wishing that I had.
I froze some,
made peach butter and peach frozen yogurt (recipe coming later) then I decided to make Aunt Geneva's Peach Cobbler recipe to update the photos from the original post a few years ago.
But I find that canning fruit (
peach butter, strawberry jam, etc.) always makes the most kitchen mess.
I made these and
the peach butter today (I'm trying to get some peaches off my hands!)

For dessert, there was not a morsel left of Granny's Banana Cake with caramel, cream cheese and praline ice cream ($ 9) or the Cheesecake with a vanilla cookie crumb crust,
peach butter, and blueberries topped with a whiskey sauce ($ 9).

the peach butter, but I have a ton of other fruit butters, so it's got ta work out!
