peak health groups gives it the capacity to overcome sectional interests that prevent sensible reform.
At the same time, health leaders — including the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) and other nursing and midwifery groups, the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association, and other
peak health groups have spoken up for the importance of cultural safety for improving care and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Jennifer Doggett has produced a useful overview of scorecards from
peak health groups, suggesting an overall preference for a Green or Labor Government, and concern on a number of fronts with the prospect of a Coalition win.
