Healthy chocolate chip cookies that are made with the added
of peanut butter chips and peanut butter to the batter for a perfect combination!
For topping, melt margarine or butter, corn syrup and
peanut butter chips over low heat until mixture comes to a slow boil.
I really love the addition of the chocolate and
peanut butter chips on top, as it brings all the flavors together perfectly.
You can get creative with the mix - ins: substitute almond butter for peanut butter,
peanut butter chips for the candy pieces, or dried fruit instead of nuts.
Add your favorite dried fruit, nuts, seeds or use white chocolate or
peanut butter chips in place of dark chocolate.
I like them plain, but to dress them up for a special gathering, I spread chocolate and
peanut butter chips on the top before baking.
Also, once I used half the batter, i added 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1/4
cup peanut butter chips for my sweet toothed husband.
It went from this beautiful creature to not chocolate pumpkin bread with reese's
peanut butter chips then back to this loaf, because the trifecta of chocolate and pumpkin and spices is just the greatest.
There is a one - two punch of peanut butter in this bread - first you have the actual peanut butter itself mixed in the batter, and then you have delicious gems of
peanut butter chips throughout!
For Peanut Butter / Chocolate Chip: 2 Tbsp peanut butter or alternative (I used Wowbutter), 1/2 c miniature chocolate chips, divided (I used enjoy life), 1/4
c peanut butter chips (I omitted for peanut free version)
Microwave peanut butter chips and 3/4 cup cream in large microwave - safe bowl on medium heat at 15 - second intervals just until chips soften, stirring often.
A ravenous sweet tooth that happened to make its way into the baking aisle of Target and happened to stumble
upon peanut butter chips.
