I love to use
peanut powder in recipes like this
because it's a great way to get the fiber and protein from

You can use smooth or chunky
peanut butter here — but I wouldn't recommend using natural
peanut butter
because the
oil can separate.
I find that with my
peanut butter granola, I need less
oil, and
because the flavor is so pronounced, I also need less sweetener.
Some of that just
because there is a little bit of
peanut oil sometimes in some of the vaccinations as a preservative and uhm — there's also uhm — some proteins in there.
Because avocado
oil may be harder to find and is expensive, you can try another neutral - flavored
oil, like grape seed or
peanut.
It's my impression that
peanut oil is a more natural product than the alternatives (canola, sunflower...)
because peanuts are naturally oily and their
oil doesn't have to be aggressively extracted with solvents, like the example above.
