Since I've had a small amount do that with other pecan pie recipes, I did have a cookie sheet on the lower shelf, so it wasn't too much mess, but I suspect the pie would have been even better with more of the filling (though chocolate and pecan and butter crust was scrumptious).

I decided to veganize this recipe and make it a bit easier to prepare, after some serious testing I've come out with this delicious vegan pumpkin pie recipe with whipped coconut water topped with some pecans, this is seriously delicious.
Lastly, I perfected my pecan pie granola bar recipe — I used your recipe for chewy peanut butter and honey granola bar recipe with a few tweaks as an inspiration for the base and it worked beautifully!
This recipe for Pumpkin Cakes with Pecan Praline Sauce was featured in the Paleo Magazine last year but didn't list the recipe creator so I don't have a link to the original recipe for credit, the only thing I changed was adding pumpkin pie spice rather than cinnamon and nutmeg.
Every year I come up with some new way to squeeze pumpkin into my recipes: pumpkin pasta, pumpkin blondies, pumpkin pecan pie cheesecake... and I think, «Where else can I use pumpkin?»

Because I had grown up on just apple, pecan and pumpkin — all made with a classic single crust and nothing on top — Grandma's recipe for peach pie looked a little different.
