It
felt perfectly stable at this sort of speed too, although the brakes are not the most encouraging part of the car (they're effective enough, but
need a good shove deep into the
pedal travel) so it
felt wise to leave plenty of margin for slowing.
The
pedal needs a thorough push to bring a response, making you
feel as if you're trying to slow a full - size SUV rather than a small economy car.
Steering doesn't get heavy and gloopy as you toggle up through Eco Pro and then Comfort modes, the throttle
pedal doesn't suddenly become binary, and I didn't
feel the
need to fiddle with the Individual profile at all.
Be aware that it might take a little time for the pads to adjust to the new rotors so you may sometimes
feel like you
need to apply more pressure on the
pedal, that is completely normal.
I
need some time to acclimate my right foot to the brake
pedal, which
feels a little wooden, and to get a sense of the steering.
At the end of a 23 - mile sickbag stretch driven with a knife between our teeth, the left
pedal felt a little soft in the Mercedes, and it
needed a somewhat more determined hoof to perform the act.
If your manual car has abnormal

The seats are above - average comfortable, while everything a driver
needs to, er, drive — steering wheel,

This is the epitome of a perfectly trustable active cruise control — never did I

need to babysit the brake

Stopping power is good and the brakes have a fair amount of bite as well, but the somewhat mushy
pedal does
need a bit more
feel and firmness.
The M sport brakes are phenomenal and
feel perfect and smooth (not too sensitive and not too soft) when I
need to apply my foot to the
pedal.
The only thing that
needs improving upfront is better thigh support and a more ergonomically sound driving position — the
pedals are slightly off - set and the steering wheel
feels a tad too close to the driver.
If the brake
pedal feels too low, the brakes
need to be serviced.
When you do
need to stop, the
pedal provides a good, consistent
feeling from highway speeds to no speed.
Brake
pedal feel is mushy, and calibration
needs to be improved.
