It all depends on the audience of your blog, but if you create an informational blog targeted at
people in need of legal help, then you have a good shot at increasing your client base.
Last month, I wrote about A2J Author, a tool used by legal aid programs and others to create automated guided interviews to assist

Then I think there's kind
of this parallel track
of issues to unpack where there's a distinction between small firms that have built their business model around being able to
help solve problems
of access, whether that's around unbundling their services or how they do their pricing, or giving away some free do it yourself content on the front end, whether that's also as part
of their lead acquisition strategy or just as a service to

need it, is I think separate from
people who then volunteer their time
in pro bono efforts, or
people who donate their money to

in the last few years it has blossomed more into a means whereby access can be granted to
people through online software that might reduce or even eliminate the

The latest
legal needs survey
in the Netherlands (Geschilbeslechtingsdelta 2014) suggests that 48 per cent
of people seeking assistance
in the
legal sector want advice about how to solve problems; 45 per cent advice about their rights and obligations; 24 per cent
help with approaching the other party; 20 per cent mediation; 18 per cent some kind
of financial advice; and 16 per cent
help with starting a procedure.
Moreover, because marijuana reform movements seem often to be a «young man's game»
in many ways, junior lawyers may be uniquely positioned to be
of service to
persons needing legal help in this arena.
