Small / independent bookstores sometimes try to steer clear of Amazon... and local bookstores may be
more likely to support
books of local authors, but in general, bookstores are businesses that need to make money, so they will
sell whatever
people are buying.
Understanding that the two compliment each other is the key to
selling more books, not making
people choose one or the other.
