What I
did: Mixed 5 drops of lavender
essential oil, 2 drops of basil

oil and rubbed on the skin around the ear, behind the ear and on the neck.
If you have a young child, I would either
do this at night after they are in bed (so you aren't tempted to smooch them), leave out the
peppermint essential oil, or use our Lemon Raspberry Lip Scrub instead!
I don't recommend it for daily use, as it's quite potent with its combination of aloe vera hydrosol, burdock extract, papaya extract,
peppermint essential oil, cajeput
essential oil and grapefruit
essential oil, but it's damn good at
doing exactly what it says it's going to
do: Remove all that buildup!
While it doesn't impart the minty aftertaste that most toothpastes pride themselves on, using it before bed helps not only freshen your breath, but kills bacteria that cause plaque and other problems, without the fluoride (and if you miss the minty taste, just add a drop of
peppermint essential oil).
By the way,
do not use
peppermint essential oil with babies or toddlers.
There are many, many natural ingredients that fleas don't like and most of them come from our standard
essential oils such as
peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus, lemongrass, citronella, cedar wood
oil, clove
oil, thyme, and geraniol
oil.
