A problem that has vexed Catholics and others in the pro-life movement, however, is the question whether it is
legitimate to support a less than
perfectly protective legislative proposal restricting abortion, euthanasia, and like injustices, when the only politically realistic
alternative at the moment is a proposal that is even less protective of the rights of the unborn, elderly, or handicapped.
