That runtime affords Nashville plenty of chances to serve up music, which you are surprised to discover is not only
all performed by the cast, but almost entirely written and composed by them too, with Altman and, bizarrely, Gary Busey (who is not in the film) also taking credits.
This movie is filled with the songs and music we grew up with,
performed by a cast that is a dream team.
The picture is a collection of clichés and conveniences ritually
performed by a cast of the same.
