When Amex announced the recent list of changes, it came along with some bad news for holders of
the personal version of the card.
If I were also getting
the personal version of this card I would consider a Marriott hotel and air package since the bonuses you'd receive from these two cards would put you in close contention of being able to redeem for one of these packages.
The Marriott Rewards Premier Business card gives you a sweet sign - up bonus, but the card's rewards program is nearly identical to
the personal version of the card — and at a slightly higher annual fee.
If you're looking for
a personal version of a card that offers a solid return at Costco, consider the Fidelity Rewards Visa (no annual fee), which gives 2 percent back.
However, if you are trying to decide between the business and
personal versions of this card, you will find that Marriott hasn't done much to differentiate its business card.
However, you may also want to consider
the personal version of the card, which gives you most of the same features for a lower $ 85 fee.
The issuer has just announced changes to
the personal versions of these cards that may make it harder to earn the airline's coveted Companion Pass moving forward.
