Tail chasers in BT (but not in other
breeds) remembered frightening situations longer
than the controls (Q 6d; BT χ21, 52 = 7.40,
p = 0.007).
In a pooled
breed analysis we found tail chasers to also have other compulsions more often
than the controls, such as «invisible flies» or light - chasing behaviours (Kruskal - Wallis, x21, 308 = 4.42,
p = 0.035), licking (x2 = 10.37,
p = 0.001), repetitive pacing (x21, 308 = 11.23,
p < 0.001) and freezing or trance - like behaviour (x21, 308 = 5.08,
p = 0.024)(Fig. 5).
