A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention looks at whether
spraying yards with
pesticides reduces the risk of contracting a tick - borne disease.
Pyrethroids are found in more than 3,500 products used inside homes and on crops,
yards, and gardens - including lice shampoos, indoor foggers, flea
sprays for pets and
pesticides to fight ants, wasps, mosquitoes, aphids and spiders.
In some regions, many infections are thought to be acquired from ticks in suburban backyards, but homeowners are often reluctant to
spray pesticides in their
yards.
Also watch out for

yard and garden, because anything you
spray outside will likely end up in your home.
