as good cold too, especially if you like crisp raw veggies, but since I prefer my zoodles having that «pasta - like» feel, I simply sauteed mine for a few minutes on the stove and then just tossed them with the

The idea is to make a pasta
sauce that hits all the same flavor receptors
as pesto: the edamame is nutty and the miso is umami, providing the pine nut - parmesan punch that we love about
pesto, and ginger in place of the basil provides fresh, herby flavor.
Since you probably already know how to use
pesto (
as a pasta
sauce, pizza
sauce, crostini spread, etc.), I thought it'd be more useful to share some of my favorite
pesto variations.
For the avocado
pesto: 1 ripe avocado Juice from 1 - 2 lemons 2 small or 1 large garlic clove 1 cup packed basil leaves 1 jalapeno, seeded (optional) 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup water (more
as needed to thin
sauce) Salt and pepper to taste
Best served with the pistachio
pesto, I use this puree
as the base
sauce.
Although the red pepper puree won't have
as much pizzazz without its partner, the pistachio
pesto, it is still good served alone
as a salad dressing, a pasta or pizza
sauce, or even
as a dip, thickened by pureeing in more hemp seeds.

Using tongs, transfer spaghetti to bowl and toss vigorously, drizzling with oil and adding more
pesto and cheese
as you continue to toss, until spaghetti is glossy and well coated with
