Any person / persons applying to adopt who does not meet the responsible
pet ownership requirements set forth by Weimaraner Rescue of the South will have their

pet you want to adopt at one of our

adoption procedures still apply, which means parents would come in to the shelter in advance to fill out an
application form, be matched with the right
pet, and speak with an

pet's vet records via email within approximately seventytwo (72) hours so that you may schedule a visit with your veterinarian.

application does not match specific criteria for the
pet (such as the need for a fenced yard, the need for no other
pets in the home, or other needs) that are in the
pet's
adoption listing, we will not contact you for placement on this
pet.

We are not receiving many
applications to adopt from what we would consider suitable homes — some obstacles to
adoption are financial ability to seek medical care, small children who might get scratched by a frightened cat, other
pets in the home, age of the cat, or the adopter's insistence to declaw.
To place a
pet up for a Home to Home
adoption, simply complete an
application verifying that the animal is spayed or neutered, has current vaccinations and has never bitten a person.
