This skirt isn't a full circle, but it's not far off — I got my canvas underskirt under it no problem for these photos and I think it would take a fuller
petticoat too.

I'd say it is to an extent with the blue floral print, but it's not
too vavavoom and can be worn without a
petticoat and still have volume so I think I'm OK!
I especially love wearing it with my VoH teal

I've heard a few comments over the years that were along the same lines (as in, «I couldn't wait to ditch girdles, stockings and
petticoats and don't know why you'd want to wear them nowadays»), but more often older folks seem genuinely touched that someone of a later generation is keeping the fashions of their era alive, which is how I'm sure more elderly people feel when they see you, looking so gorgeously, classically attired,

Not only do I believe that life is
too short for ugly underwear, but the right
petticoat can make achieving a certain shape effortless, particularly the full skirted look that I obsessively try to make fuller and poofier with each passing year...
