To provide insight on the utility and practicality of implementing a pharmacist - driven
pharmacogenomics program in a community pharmacy or primary care setting and to provide a clinical update on common drug - gene implications using clinical case vignettes.
In furtherance of their mutual interest in improving fundamental and clinical
pharmacogenomics and its translation into clinical practice, the two organizations have agreed: (a) cooperate and collaborate on
programs and activities of mutual interest, (b) work together to provide education symposia / workshops in developing countries and regions, and (c) foster collaborative research to better understand the genetic basis for ethnic diversity in the response to and adverse effects from medicines.
