By popular request, ahead of a more formal
comparison of imaging results from iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel XL, the top two smartphones / phablets, let's try a «blind»
comparison at web / social resolution (i.e. low), with me not giving you any clues as to which snap was from which
phone camera.
All of the
phones suffer a bit of detail degradation in the transition from blur to sharpness, but in my quick anecdotal
comparisons, the Pixel 2 seems extremely capable with just its single
camera.

However, as we keep pointing out, the whole concept of the budget
phone has been turned on its head in the past year (ironically, it was the Moto E that was responsible for proving that great performance could be delivered at a relatively low price too), and in that regard, frankly the new Moto E comes off looking rather ordinary in
comparison to the likes of the Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000, both of which pack in 720p displays, much better 8.0 - megapixel
cameras, 4G connectivity (notwithstanding its limited availability in India) and also come with better processors and dare we say it, design.
Sure, it has the high - end power under the hood, and a well - specced
camera with a slow - mo party piece, but in
comparison to its peers it has a resolution commonly found on
phones half its price, and it isn't afraid of showing us some bezel.
The rest of the
phones in our
comparison are by no means bad
camera phones at all.
Based on our in - depth
comparisons, the S7 Edge remains the best
camera phone around, thanks in part to Samsung's dual - pixel technology for speeding up autofocus.
For our Last Cam Standing series, we always compare the latest smartphone
cameras to our current
camera winner (in this case, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro), but Samsung didn't allow us to take
comparison shots with other
phones.
How about a fair
comparison, test it against a Note 8, if you are truly unbiased you would have done this since both
phones came out around the same time and claim to have great
cameras.
This same
camera is what is found in the Note 7, so
comparisons between these two
phones can feasibly be done using samples from the previous Galaxy device.
As for good light, unlike most
camera phones, this is actually the area the Mate 10 Pro is weakest in
comparison to the competition.
In
comparison to this I feel the Intex Aqua Qwerty touch and type dual core android
phone which is for Rs. 4990 is VFM, at - least you are getting 512 ram, 5 mp
camera, 3 g and qwerty.

The Finns still aren't mentioning the Lumia 928 by name - though the video
comparison is at the Lumia 928 page - but there's already an official image of the
phone showing its aesthetic changes from the Lumia 920 and confirming the 8.7 - megapixel PureView

It might not win every head - to - head
