Microsoft first released its Windows
Phone keyboard for the iPhone more than a year ago, with a unique one - handed mode.
The Pearl 3G will actually be offered in two different models: The 9100 which will have a 20 - key condensed QWERTY keyboard (aka RIM's SureType) and the 9105, which, curiously for a BlackBerry, has a 14 - key
T9 phone keyboard.
It still looks much like the stock (and non-swappable) Windows
Phone keyboard of old, but it now comes with the addition of Word Flow.
Take the excellent Windows
Phone keyboard experience, add things such as CTRL shortcut support, more configurable options, merge it with SwiftKey, give SwiftKey a new, modern look, and maybe even give SwiftKey a rebrand.
Whereas the old car had a huge array of buttons that reminded us of a Motorola
flip phone keyboard, the new one instead has white icons with red illumination on a gloss - black trim piece around the shifter.
I now want one piece of electronics that has instant, almost - everywhere access to the internet; the screen must be large enough to read comfortably (very important), so I have flexibility in choosing what tasks I'll do on this device; it wouldn't hurt either, if it also included a keyboard in a usable size, instead of the teensy - tiny Blackberry and other
smart phone keyboards.
BlackBerry is already known for having the best physical keyboards on the market (the Bold 9900 has the
best phone keyboard of all time), and with BlackBerry 10 they also want to be known for having the best touchscreen keyboard on the market.

While it may look straightforward, the Windows
Phone keyboard is actually surprisingly clever under the hood.
We also like Motorola's set of resizable widgets and its custom onscreen keyboard, which is reminiscent of Microsoft's fantastic Windows
Phone keyboard.
The virtual precision pointer in
the phone keyboard can be found in the bottom left corner and is likely to match the accent color of your Windows phone.
I've tried plenty of Android keyboards since I made the switch from Windows Phone, looking for one that can at least pretend to compete with the mighty Windows
