These works were presented to an audience of curators of photography for the major international museums, private photography dealers, the most discerning of
private photography collectors and the public.
Each exhibition will include work unseen in London and aim to introduce important material to young audiences, broaden appreciation for those already familiar with contemporary photographic practice and to make available key works
for photography collectors.
Snapshots of Twentieth Century Life, a survey of amateur portrait photographs donated to the museum by American
vernacular photography collector Peter Cohen, the Museum's fall exhibitions demonstrate how photographers from a diverse array of backgrounds, periods, and perspectives have used the medium to negotiate identity and capture the world around them, from the monumental to the ordinary.

Photo London Founding Director Michael Benson guest - edits The Royal Photography Society JOURNAL (April 2018), which focuses on art photography and features Photo London exhibiting artist Karen Knorr on the cover, as well as features on Susan Lipper (who will be the subject of a special RPS talk at Photo London 2018) and

In keeping with the theme of «emerging,» we will be honoring Bronx born Alan Siegel, global branding titan to countless emerging brands and
avid photography collector of emerging talents and established artists, and Bronx DJ Grandmaster Flash who helped lay the foundation for the emerging «hip - hop» culture and inspired the series «The Get Down,» which is filmed episodically in the Museum's neighborhood.
For
photography collectors, there also is a worry that these newly made images will be released as editions for buyers, muddying both the appreciation of Winogrand's body of work and the understanding of what the artist produced and what others produced on his behalf.
