I have been lurking on this blog (and Simply Recipes too) for awhile and loving the recipes (oh, the photos) but this one has taken the cake.

This all being said, I have some fun holiday outfits coming up for you on the blog — and then likely will take a little outfit photo hiatus, or at least enter a lull, during winter because 30 degrees is just too darn cold to be traipsing around without a coat, and I only own so much cute outwear.

There are a few who I enjoy even though their blog photos are more magazine than real life (Engineering in Style, comes to mind) but for the most part I read «real people» blogs, too.

We stayed in The Morrow House (check that post out, too), and we were able to go explore the city and take a LOT of photos for our blogs.

I guess I shouldn't bust him too hard because he did in fact carve out time to take blog photos for me in between loading his truck with a barbeque pit and setting up for the event.

Trying to work my job at a child care center, writing blog posts for my too many blogs, and prepare for a show where I sell my photos!

If you use an image (not a head shot, but an image related to the topic about which you're blogging) with your blog posts, do you recommend putting your name in the in the file name, the title of the picture, the alternative text, and the description for those photos too, or is that dishonest?

-- more frequent communication with my immediate family — more connectedness with colleagues across the country (and in some cases, around the world)-- becoming acquainted with colleagues from around the world — finding people who have similar experiences for the purpose of mutual moral support — sharing photos with a lot more people (before digital cameras I did not take photographs since it was too expensive)-- distance learning via the web (courses)-- learning about subjects of interest in more depth, especially from papers by others — learning from conferences I was unable to attend in person (through papers posted, blog posts, conference wikis, and photos on Flickr)-- more readily available consumer information — more readily available government information — learning more about basic health issues — more creative cooking since I have more access to recipes — feeling more connected to my favourite musical groups / musicians since they now have extensive websites, email notification services, and blogs — better organization of the various groups I belong to
