It seems so obvious that a good photo will only increase a pet's chances of getting adopted, yet when you look around at
photos of adoptable pets, many times the photos don't present the pets as well as they could.

The contest will run through Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) and highlights the benefits
of pet rescue by featuring
photos of pet lovers kissing the rescued
pets in their lives —
pet parents and their rescued
pets or animal shelter staff and their
adoptable pets.
In addition, there are vendors, food trucks, rescue groups with
adoptable pets, and Mary Swift Photography will be on hand once again to lead our «Best
of the Fest»
photo contest, the winners
of which will be printed in Baltimore Style, Baltimore's Child Magazine, and Maryland Dog Magazine.

Another neat thing that happened recently was that I had photographed one
of the
adoptable dogs at the shelter and he ended up being adopted by a couple who were given a gift certificate for a
pet photography session and I will soon be doing his
photo again....
