It started when I founded the non-profit Happy Tails, creating note cards featuring heartwarming stories and
photos of adopted animals.

photos of adopted animals that people could relate to, we found a way to direct them to adoption and to connect the public with shelters and rescue groups in the community.

April's
photos always capture the pets» personalities so well and they're beginning to see a change from within the shelter environment as well as local rescue organizations about the way people
adopt based on their initial impression
of an
animal.
Some volunteers have gotten creative in helping dogs get
adopted by posting cute
photos of their «Dog for the Day» adventures on social media, telling people about the pup's personality and sharing information about LifeLine
Animal Project.
