I started my (fashion) blog in August 2012, after months of brainstorming and years of taking my own outfit photos with my laptop to speed up the process of getting ready each day.

I mean, sure, little Sally looks totally adorable in her paisley maxi dress that has been paired with the beautiful gladiator sandals, and little Timmy is just the cutest in his new digs, when moms are forever sharing photos of their kids in amazing outfits, it kind of gets annoying (and you might find yourself gossiping with your friends about how much money she must be spending on her kids» clothing.)

So for B we went for a Marty McFly inspired outfit with a hint of George in his bouffant and for me — my look is actually based on a photo of a group of women in their early 20s and one in particular who I've pretty much lifted the entire outfit of.

I am absolutely in love with how the photos turned out and the outfit in general (of course).

I ended up wearing this outfit on the third day of my NYC adventures, which included meetings with a PR firm, checking out the Addition Elle pop - up shop, spending some time at the Universal Standard showroom and being a bit of a tourist by popping over to Radio City Music Hall (where the Mother premiere happened to be going on when we shot these photos).

The outfits that inspire me to create more, play with color and liven up my life are fewer and far between, however I have dug through all of the photos to still find some looks from this past week that I still love.

Looking through the photos, it turns out the scarf doesn't go that well with the rest of the outfit.

Nothing screams V - Day like red pumps + a red bag... especially paired with a «Little Black Outfit «♥ I actually didn't go for the LBD (crazy, I know) so instead I opted for a black floral top and an easy to mix + match black scuba skirt!Nothing makes editing photos quite as enjoyable as finding funny shots like this one haha That's the joy of shooting with friends:p Let me break down my look — this top is a combination of Faux Leather + a Floral Print... such a fun combo!

While we were in Seattle over the holidays I topped this all - black look with the grey jacket (so technically this outfit isn't 100 % black on black in all of the photos, but it was REALLY cold and the only coat I packed!).

It might seem silly, but when you look at a photo of your outfit, you'll be able to see what is going wrong with your outfit.

Such great photos and the outfit fits sooooo well with the aesthetics of the place!

Shooting with Joel Barhamand was a million times more fun than the daily outfit photos I take of myself (especially because of the added bonus of having so many cool people to chat with for the few hours it took).

I was very gung - ho, «rah - rah, go me with my awesome print mixing skills» until I saw the photos of this outfit and realized I had managed to pair stripes with stripes.
