Room, I thought I might show you what's going on in here
because firstly I realised that the Beach Cottage House Tour page was way out
of date and secondly the other day I tidied up in here and it was halfway decent for a
photo... which is no mean feat around here with random teenagers gracing this area at any given time... and now also a puppy who seems, somehow, to be able to create more mess than everyone else put together...
I appreciate that Asus includes 64 GB
of storage by default,
because even though the Zoom has a microSD slot, this much
room is great for a device that's designed to take a lot
of photos and videos.
Lutron instead lumps all lighting and window - shade controls under the heading
of Lights & Shades on its home screen, where there's only enough
room for four icons for devices and four icons for scenes,
because one - third its area is consumed by a functionless
photo of a
room that's not even from your home.
I didn't take a
photo of the other side
of the
room because I haven't done anything to that side yet..
I'm enjoying the exploration
of it and realizing that I while I drool over the picture perfect magazine
photos in Pottery Barn and BHG, I also don't want those perfect
rooms because then it means that no one is LIVING life in them.
Also please keep in mind when I take a
photo of our living
room to share on Instagram, I move the toys (although no we don't allow a ton in the living
room at once
because, well, it is not large).

Because I always love an inspiring
room redo post, I wanted to share some before and after
photos of my e-friend, Jennifer Rizzo «s recent kitchen remodel here today.
That's not my
photo, but I had a hard time getting a
photo of the lines on the top
of J & K's
because the
room is so bright and sunny!
I am usually unable to watch the HGTV shows I like
because of my work schedule (and I'm too cheap to get DVR), but I usually catch the reruns or check the finished
room photos online.
So today I'm taking you on a little trip down memory lane and sharing the evolution
of our living
room,
because let's be honest... everyone loves looking back on embarrassing old
photos!
I wish I could get a good
photo from my family
room of the water but
because of the porch overhang, it always come out dark.
The
photos aren't much to look at
because I know there is still so much more to do in here... notice the polka dot plaster marks and seams that haven't been mudded but for us this
room represents so much change since last spring when we had old windows that let in amazing amounts
of cold air and really faded and dirty wallpaper.
The dining
room is where I do a lot
of photo shoots for products
because the lighting is perfect.
When we painted the kitchen and family
room a few weeks ago I took the slipcovered wingback chairs that were in this
room (you can see
photos of this
room with those chairs here) I decided to try switching the sets
of chairs
because I really liked how the slipcovered ones looked against the new darker gray mantel in the family
room.
Especially
because I would love to take more blog
photos in this
room, but I always hate it
because one
of the walls is green and it photographs horribly.
I've wanted one
of these beauties for a while
because they're so fun and full
of texture, but when I saw a
photo of one above a crib on Pinterest I knew this
room had to have one.
