Chances are pretty good you use the same or similar labels on your existing
physical file folders.

The
files can be
physical (i.e.,
folders with paper materials inside) and placed in a prominent area of the room, or digital
files in a clearly marked, easy - to - access spot on a device.
Either way, what keeps all of the
files in a given
folder together just happens at the logical level with the help of a unique identifier and an index that allows efficient access, as opposed to
physical storage in a drawer or a
file.
A set of alphabetical
folders works great for this, and they can be in a
physical file cabinet, or on your computer.
By grouping the information through tags, I have essentially created a notes
folder that, in the
physical world, would have been placed inside the client
file.
Just as every case - related piece of paper finds its way into a
physical file, the emails will find a home in an email
folder.
